However, the total trading volume within the recorded time has surged by 52.03% to $86.19 billion, with stablecoin volume taking up more than 93% of the entire market volume. Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has been on a downward path since the last 24 hours. According to data from CoinMarketCap, the BTC price now rests at $57,701, signifying a 4.96% decline over the last day. Bitcoin has suffered notable selling pressure over the last month as large investors, including governments, continue to offload substantial amounts of coins to various centralized exchanges. BTC has traded between the lows and highs of $57,878 and $60,740 respectively.
On the altcoin front, Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap has plummeted in the last 24 hours. Per CMC data, the ETH price has dropped 5.42% to $3,160 with a trading volume of $18.7 billion. The coin has traded within the range of $3,160 and $3,346 over the last day.
Solana is not left out of the ‘bloodbath.’ In the last 24 hours, the SOL price has slumped by 6.33% to trade at $134.93. Notably, its trading volume has jumped by 29% to $3.12 billion. Also, Solana has traded between the lows and highs of $133.79 and $146 respectively in the last 24 hours.
Similarly, the price of TON has dropped by 8.24% to trade at $7.25. Meanwhile, Toncoin’s 24-hour trading volume has skyrocketed by 58.14% to rest at $501.4 million. TON has changed hands between the range of $7.21 and $7.92 in the last 24 hours.
