Vanguard’s incoming CEO, Salim Ramji, has confirmed that the firm will not launch a Bitcoin spot ETF, maintaining Vanguard’s stance against crypto-related products. Despite Ramji’s background in ETFs at BlackRock, he will uphold this decision when he assumes his role in July. Vanguard also stated on January 24 that it will not offer Bitcoin ETFs or any other crypto products, aligning with its focus on long-term and stable investments. Therefore, this decision stands firm even as firms with over $100 million in assets disclose significant holdings of Bitcoin ETFs, highlighting a rising institutional interest in cryptocurrency.
