The launch was done in partnership with PowerTrade, a mobile crypto trading platform With options, traders can buy or sell a particular asset at a set price in the future.

BitMex Launches Options Trading With Sweet Offer
BitMex exchange took to its X (formerly Twitter) account earlier today to announce the expansion of its offerings, introducing options trading where users can trade a wide range of crypto options margined in Bitcoin, USDT, or USDC. To sweeten the offer, BitMex revealed that there would be a zero trading fee for all options and that users who deposit $1000 and above for the rest of May, will get an instant 20 USDC bonus upon sign-up.

Following the promotional time, BitMEX’s options trading fees will be consistent with its current spot trading fees. This action is a component of BitMEX’s plan to seamlessly include the options platform into its present ecosystem and give users a uniform and predictable cost model when they trade a variety of digital assets.
Importantly, BitMex highlights that all options will be priced and settled in USDC, the second-largest stablecoin in the market. Additionally, the options can be margined in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT, or USDC. Aside from Bitcoin and Ethereum, other options like DOGE, SOL, XRP, and BNB are also available.
In 2022, PowerTrade established a collaboration with the British custody company Copper to provide institutions with custodial services. Following this, BitMEX and PowerTrade launched a strategic partnership in December of 2023 intending to improve professional players’ trading experiences.
